Quick Reference: Drips> Scroll down> Add Marketing Plan. Set parameters. Choose the template. Schedule it Start On (usually as of the date you create the campaign, but sometimes people schedule for later on). Save.

Email template creation & editing is covered in depth in a separate video, so you should watch that first. You also should have completed the custom SMTP settings prior to sending email.

The dates that we’re talking about are being pulled from the lead or client file. Birthday and Turning 65 from their Date of Birth field, Renewal & Effective Date from the product assignment.

Date triggered marketing is held in Drips, along with your templates.

Scroll below the templates. You’ll see where you can add a Marketing Plan. Click on Add Marketing Plan.

Select who you want to send it to. In date triggered marketing, you usually want it to go to All Leads and Clients. Scroll down. We’re skipping all these other options unless there’s a reason for you to further filter who gets the message.

You can send 90 before Renewal or 10 days after Effective Date. Say you sell Medicare. You can select 180 days before Turning 65 to send a template of Medicare Eligible #1. Schedule it Start On (usually as of the date you create the campaign, but sometimes people schedule for later on). Schedule it Start On (usually as of the date you create the campaign, but sometimes people schedule for later on). Send to all again. The other options are usually for if you have a team where you want to send to all leads/clients or just your own. If you’re a single agent, always choose all. Save.

Schedule another to go out 120 days before Turning 65, using another template such as Medicare Eligible #2 and Save.

Also, if you sell Medicare (or other policies that require follow up), you can set for 5 days after the policy is effective so that you remind them that they need to still have their doctor’s visit and drug plan selection completed before the policy is in full effect. You might want to select for a Coverage Type of Medicare, Part B, MedAdvantage, etc instead of All for this example.

You can choose to send On Birthday, on effective date, renewal, turning 65. Since they’ll already be getting the happy birthday message, you probably don’t want to have both Send On Birthday and Send on Turning 65 for a birthday message.
