Lead Routing Rules

Lead routing rules are a great tool to push leads to specific agents on your team. If you're a single agent, you can auto-assign yourself on all leads that come in via lead vendors. If you have a team, it's a fantastic way to allow leads to be sent to specific team members or assigned in a round-robin fashion to agents who are licensed in certain states or who sell specific coverage types.

Go to Settings > Lead Routing Rules. Click Edit. Click Add Routing Rule.

Assign a name, like "Florida Routing" — if you'll have multiple rules, assign the priority, with one being the highest priority.

Select what leads will be assigned with this rule. You'll choose a lead's specific field — status, product, and so on. The most commonly used are states and coverage types. So if you have agents licensed in a particular state, like Florida, you can bring over all of the agents who are licensed there and who you want to include in the round robin. Coverage type is also useful if you have team members who specialize in Medicare or in P&C lines.

Determine if you want to set the lead to unassigned if no agents are available.

Pull over the agents you want to receive the leads. Set the sort order of who gets a lead first, second, third, and so on. It will then round-robin back to the first when that list is done.

Create the rule.

When using the lead routing rule, you must use the Radius dropbox email address found in the lead routing rule to build the email address for your lead vendors. The system will then look to the routing rule to decide where to assign the lead. Please see the lead vendor-specific instructions on our help app — we've put the link on this tutorial's page as a quick reference.

If you're having trouble with your lead vendor after creating a routing rule, it's probably because you have your account "My Info" dropbox email address rather than the routing rule address pushing from your vendor into Radius.
